The piglets, yet to be named, can be found in a splendid Tudor pigsty in Palmer’s Farmyard where they will be lovingly looked after by a team of period interpreters. At Palmer’s Farm you can step back into the 1570s and experience what life was like for a farming household in Shakespeare’s time, and themed weekends of music, dancing, cooking and rural festivities on offer all through the year. Watch the period interpreters, dressed in replica Tudor clothing, perform a wide range of activities from hand-milking sheep, cooking over an open fire, baking bread, dipping tallow candles…and much more. The Shakespeare Houses will offer some special late night openings over the Christmas period with candle lit tours, children's workshops and a visit by Santa. |

Two lovely new Tamworth piglets were introduced to their new home at Palmer's Farm on Sunday 11th November. Tamworths are a rare and ancient breed descended from the wild boars that used to roam the forests of England.
