The RSC have staged productions in the following London theatres:

  • The Place, Euston Road, 1972-1973
  • The Roundhouse, 1970, 1976 and 2002
  • The Mermaid (in Puddle Dock, London) 1987
  • Aldwych Theatre 1960-1981 (Opening production The Duchess of Malfi, by John Webster, 15 December 1960, Final production - Richard II, November 1981)
  • Warehouse (now known as the Donmar) 1977-1981 (Macbeth 1977 to Timon of Athens 1981)
  • Barbican Theatre 1982-2002
  • Pit Theatre 1982-2002
  • Almeida Theatre, 1985, 1988, 1989

The Young Vic has been used for many transfers, and for some original productions, from 1978. Since 1962 Transfers have also been made to London's Piccadilly, Garrick, Ambassadors, Albery, Haymarket, Gielgud and Queen's theatres.
