The first Other Place began as The Studio in 1973/4.Throughout its years as a theatre space the audience seating configuration varied. When it closed in 1989 its capacity was 160 seated audience. The auditorium of the second Other Place (1991-2001) seated 240 to 270, depending on the configuration of seating around the performance area.
