'The Two Noble Kinsmen', by William Shakespeare and John Fletcher, was staged for the first public performance at the Swan Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon, on 26 April 1986. The theatre was officially opened by H.M. Queen Elizabeth II, who stood alongside major donor Frederick Koch, on 13 November 1986, before a performance of 'The Fair Maid of the West', by Thomas Heywood.
