Friends of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust logoBecoming a member of the Friends of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is the perfect opportunity to increase your lifetime's enjoyment of William Shakespeare and his works.  At the same time, you will be helping the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust achieve its three core objectives, which are:

  • to promote in the every part of the world the appreciation and study of the plays and other works of William Shakespeare and general advancements of Shakespearian knowledge
  • to maintain and preserve the Shakespeare Birthplace properties for the benefit of the nation
  • to provide and maintain for the benefit of the nation a museum and library of books, manuscripts, records of historic interest, pictures, photographs and objects of antiquity with particular, but not exclusive reference to William Shakespeare, his life, works and times

The revenue raised through Friends' subscriptions is used for special acquisitions to enrich our collections and enhance the displays in the Houses; to support the work of the Education department and to improve visitor facilities. 

By joining the Friends you will be helping to preserve forever the incomparable heritage that Shakespeare left for people of all nations and all ages.

As a member you will enjoy special privileges, including:

  • Free admission to the Shakespeare Houses and gardens, as well to the Museum of British Pewter at Harvard House during normal opening hours, on production of your membership card
  • Free subscription to our official, full colour magazine 'Shakespeare at the centre'
  • The opportunity to take part in exclusive Friends' events

For two named adults and up to three children under 17.
(Two cards cover the family)
Life Membership£325.00
(One card admits named member and one guest)
Joint Life Membership£585.00
(Two cards admit two named members and two guests)
Group Membership £50.00 (minimum) per year
For schools, clubs, societies, etc.
(Two cards admit two representatives of an organization)
