This web site provides details of up-coming productions as well as on-line booking facilities. There are also a number of useful resources such as a searchable image archive and other learning resources. The interviews with actors and directors are particularly interesting, but you'll need a fast connection to cope with the video streaming. The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and the Royal Shakespeare Company collaborate on sixth-form conferences.

The English Association
The English Association is dedicated to promoting enjoyment and excellence in the teaching of English Literature and Language. Their web pages provide a number of resources for teachers at all levels and give details of up-coming conferences and courses for both teacher's and pupils. The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and the English Association recently collaborated on a sixth-form Hamlet conference. This offered students an intense and stimulating day exploring the history, language and production of Hamlet.

Shakespeare Library Catalogue
This is an on-line database which shows the holdings of Shakespeare Libraries in Stratford. This is an invaluable resource for anyone researching Shakespeare. Although the catalogue does not list the complete holdings of the Library at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, it is worth remembering that any interested individual may consult our collections here at the Shakespeare Centre. The English-Speaking Union
The English-Speaking Union promotes international friendship through the use of spoken English. Renowned for running debates and public speaking competitions these web pages demonstrate the breath of people who can benefit from the educational experiences on offer here. The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and the English-Speaking Union recently collaborated in running the first ever great Shakespeare debate in which A-level students spent an invigorating two days discussing Shakespeare.

Oxford University Press were generous enough to sponsor our public education programme in 2006. On these web pages you can explore the range of books that they publish. Many texts are available to read on line and many more can be purchased direct from these pages. We particularly recommend their edition of Shakespeare's complete works and other Shakespeare titles.
