From short courses to lunchtime lectures we hope to put together a varied and creative programme in 2008. Whether lectures are given by our in-house staff or outside speakers, we aim to inspire and intrigue. Discover something new, be inspired to see something familiar in a new light, and enhance your enjoyment of Shakespeare.

Wednesday 5 November - Oliver Ford Davies - Performing Shakespeare

All at 1pm at the Shakespeare Centre. £3.50

Living Shakespeare - short courses based around the RSC plays

Tuesday 12 -  Friday 15 August

Courses cost £290 including theatre tickets and three evening meals.

Evening Classes

In September we will be reprising our popular evening classes on Thursday evenings 2008 will see us exploring "you, me and Shakespeare's Dark Comedies". We will focus on The Merchnat of Venice, The Taming of the Shrew and A Midsummer Night's Dream. These informal classes are suitable for all levels but are aimed at an introductory level.

11 weeks for £110 including a theatre ticket for the Merchant of Venice (Thursday evenings from September 4 to November 20, 6.30-8.30pm at the Shakespeare Centre). With an options to buy tickets for Shrew and Dream directly from us.  

If you are a teacher, it is also worth knowing that our education department specialises in providing tailor made lectures and short courses for school and university students aged 16 upwards.
