A great deal of useful background information on society, politics, art and ideas of the time to which it links the works. Shake-Sphere (play summaries, themes, background, biography, sonnet and language analysis). William Shakspere of Stratford - Documentary Evidence Shakespeare's baptismal record, marriage license, coat-of-arms, property documents, and his will, are all viewable on this very useful web page. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Lists the plays by catagory, and links to online texts. Also includes a listing of Shakespeare's poetry. The Works of the Bard A searchable text of the works based on the Moby Edition which may differ from editions commonly in use. The Rose Theatre Trust Built in 1587 by Philip Henslowe, the Rose was the first theatre on London's Bankside. There web site contains information on the history of this theatre.
