The Shakespeare Centre Library & Archive welcomes enquiries from those who cannot visit in person. Enquiries are dealt with in order of receipt and may be made by email, telephone, letter or fax. We ask that initial enquiries are made as specific as possible.  See Contact Details.

We aim to respond to enquiries within two weeks.

Research
It may be possible for staff to undertake research on your behalf if you have a more complicated enquiry (e.g. searching unindexed material).  In this instance, we charge the following fees:

£15 (inc. VAT) per hour for private researchers

£30 (inc. VAT) per hour for commercial enquiries

£10 minimum charge

Touchstone is an essential research tool for Shakespeare research in the United Kingdom (a collaborative venture between the Shakespeare Institute, The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, and Birmingham Library Services)

Via Touchstone www.touchstone.bham.ac.uk , you can:

• Locate specialist Shakespeare study resources in the UK
• Identify forthcoming UK Shakespeare productions and search a database for information on previous productions
