The Shakespeare Collections welcomes enquiries from those who cannot visit in person. Enquiries are dealt with in order of receipt and may be made by:

We can provide materials and information on request as follows:

  • Photographs from the Shakespeare Collections

  • Biographical material on RSC actors and other production personnel
  • About Shakespeare and his works

The amount of time spent on an enquiry is left to the discretion of staff. We ask that initial enquiries are made as specific as possible. If your enquiry involves detailed searches we reserve the right to charge a search fee and will advise you accordingly.

Search Fees

  • £12.50 (inc. VAT) per hour for private researchers
  • £30 (inc. VAT) per hour for commercial enquiries
  • £10 minimum charge
