The Shakespeare Centre Library's videos form a very important part of its audio-visual collections and are popular study aids, used by a wide range of readers. Click on the links below to find a list of RSC archive videos for most of the plays staged since 1982. Shakespeare Plays (in addition, the listings include the complete BBC Shakespeare and the accompanying BBC Shakespeare in Perspective series, and modern versions/adaptations of Shakespeare's works). Non Shakespeare Plays (these include Elizabethan and Jacobean works, Restoration comedies and modern drama). Please note: Videos marked * are suitable for research only and may not be viewed by more than six people at one viewing. Videos marked # may be viewed by groups numbering more than six. How to View the Video CollectionThe video collection is not available for hire and cannot be copied. If you wish to view any of the videos listed you must come to the Library. Video viewing time should be booked in advance; at least three hours' notice is required but it is suggested that you book earlier to guarantee availability. The Library charges a modest facilities fee for viewing video material in its collections.
£3 (inc. VAT) for up to 2 persons for a half day session of 3.5 hours
