Parking

The nearest public parking is a short walk away, in the multi-storey car-park (Pay and Display, open 24 hrs.) in Windsor Street (one way), situated immediately behind the coach park for visitors to Shakespeare's Birthplace. Henley Street (one-way) is restricted to pedestrians only between 11.00 and 7.00 pm each day, but there are four spaces allocated for Disabled Parking at the top of the street for those with the appropriate discs.

Disabled Access

Access for people with disabilities is not straightforward and, for wheelchair users, may mean using an alternative entrance. In particular, large electric scooters are difficult to accommodate and, if a smaller wheelchair can be used for your visit, this would be preferable. If you are able to telephone in advance of your visit (01789 201816), we can give you more precise information about access and parking.

Before visiting the Library and Archive please read the Conditions of Access
