The Shakespeare Collections comprises the combined collections of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and Royal Shakespeare Company. It is a comprehensive research library on the subjects of Shakespeare's life, work and times and the performance of his plays.

Opening hours:

From the beginning of February 2009 the Library and Archive will be closed on Wednesdays  for a six month period to enable us to undertake a number of projects and the deal with a back-log of cataloguing, which will enable us to improve our service.   During this period there will be no late night opening.  We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
