Retail and Reception Assistant

Anne Hathaway's Cottage - 10 hours per week, permanent contract

The Trust is looking for a Retail and Reception Assistant to join the Anne Hathaway’s Team. As Retail and Reception Assistant you will support the Retail and Reception Manager and the Retail and Reception Team Leader to maximise the sales potential of both the retail shop and ticketing.You will deliver excellent customer service by giving a warm welcome to all visitors, upselling tickets, suggesting they purchase guidebooks and other items in the retail shop and encouraging them to make a return visit.

To be successful in this role you should possessknowledge of Shakespeare’s work, life and times, and how Anne Hathaway’s fits into Shakespeare’s Story so that you can give a brief introduction to visitors when they arrive. You should possess strong communication skills, have experience of using Ticket Desks and/or Retail Tills, experience of receiving, recording and merchandising stock would be an advantage.
