Assistant Gardens Manager

As Assistant Gardens Manager you will support the management and maintenance of the gardens at the five Shakespeare Family Homes, through horticultural excellence and staff supervision, to continually develop the internationally recognised gardens while contributing to organisation wide activities that educate and inspire up to 850,000 visitors per year, in their interest in Shakespeare and Tudor life.

Based at the Family Homes throughout Stratford- upon- Avon you will ensure that the gardens are ready for opening to the public and ensure the Gardens Team communicate well with visitors about the gardens and impart information to other employees and volunteers.

To be successful in this role you will be a knowledgeable Gardener with experience at supervising teams, be professionally qualified, have excellent knowledge of plant species and their husbandry, and also horticultural methods and practices. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, have a proactive approach to work and be a good team player.
