Trade Marketing Officer - full-time, permanent contract

The Trust is looking for a full-time Trade Marketing Officer to join the Trade and Education Development Team. You will help deliver the planned and budgeted visitor numbers and associated income for trade across the business by developing and managing existing trade partners, relationships and key accounts to maximise sales and revenue growth. You will identify new trade partners and relationships, pursue these opportunities and generate additional sales in order to achieve the budgeted visitor numbers and revenue. You will also develop and implement appropriate trade marketing communications activity working with other members of the Marketing and Audience Development Team to drive sales and raise our profile as a tourism destination and learning centre.

To be successful in this role you will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be confident when presenting on behalf of the Trust, possess excellent customer care skills and be happy to negotiate with existing and potential customers. You should also be familiar with MS Office packages, be able to problem solve and work on your own initiative and be able to travel on company business and be away from home.

Group Sales Assistant - part-time (18 hours per week), fixed term contract to 1 November 2013

The Trust is looking for a part-time Group Sales Assistant to work in the group bookings team until 1 November 2013. You will respond to enquiries from prospective visiting groups; create and maintain contact with voucher scheme members, education establishments and group organisers. You may also support other members of the team with publicity campaigns and product launches.

To be successful in this role you will have experience of working in sales; possess excellent interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills, and have the ability to problem-solve when issues arise. You should also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent IT skills, experience of using the TOR Ticket System would be an advantage but training will be given.
