Shakespeare Short Film Competition
The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust has launched the Shakespeare Short Film Competition.

Be inspired by Shakespeare and show off your film talent with our Shakespeare Short Film Competition.
Following the launch of the Shakespeare Film Festival with the Stratford Picturehouse and patron Sir Kenneth Branagh in October 2012, the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust has opened its Shakespeare Short Film Competition.
Sign up to be notified when submission for the competition is open at Filming Shakespeare.
Submissions will open on 1 December 2012.
Criteria for films entered:
- Maximum length 20 minutes
- Any number of people in the submission
- Any age or combination of ages in the film making group
- Any level of experience
- Any standard of equipment
- Either a direct performance of Shakespeare or a piece inspired by his work
- Animation or 'real'
The process involves open submission, a first round selection, with the final selection being sent to our international panel of judges. The winner will be announced in September 2013 and their work will be screened at next year's festival.
